Give me a reason to be happy, please.

Do we need a reason to be happy? Why do we need a reason to be happy? These are some of the questions I asked myself when a friend of mine was asking me why I am able to be happy or indifferent most of the time but seldom sad. He asked me, you have a reason to be happy everyday or something good is happening to me everyday. This set me thinking, asking myself the questions I mentioned.

The world will still spin no matter what you do. So you still have to live your life no matter what mood you are in. We all know what happen when we feel unhappy for the day, things would go wrong and when you ask yourself “What more could go wrong?”, Life will always provide you with the answer, if you are lucky, or answerS if you are unlucky. What happens if you are happy for the day? Well, I am sure most of you feel that everything is going right for you and even if a small unfortunate event, you are able to dismiss it. And continue to be feeling great throughout the day.

If that is the case, would it not be better to keep yourself happy throughout the day, with or without reason. At least you are able to make your day great. Why do yourself a great disservice by spoiling your day?

We all know that moods are contagious especially negative moods. So why not do yourself a favor by having positive mood, influence others with it, make their day better; rather then be a burden and spread your negative mood to other people spoiling other people day.

Moreover a person who is always in a positive mood seem to be able to attract more people compare to one who is most of the time in a negative mood. Want proof? Well who would you like to associate yourself with? Someone who is always sad or angry? Or someone who is always happy, telling jokes and spreading cheers around?

You can make your day better by feeling happy. Easier said than done? Well, let me pose you a challenge. Every time you feel sad, I want you to stand up straight, lift up your head (do not droop it), and force yourself to smile (a smile that is nice looking, please) for five minutes. And while you are doing it, think of the happy times you have or think of many funny moments you have in life.

Aim of this blog is to let you realize that you have a choice of making your day better. So why not exercise that choice, make your life better and during this process, you may start feeling that you are the luckiest man on earth.

Cheers!!
