Supplement Wisely

In my previous post, I mentioned the importance of good health. I would like to emphasise on the fact that our health needs maintenance more than repair.

Since you have realise the importance of MAINTAINING good health. The next thing I want to talk abt is supplementation. Now, in this modern world, we really need supplementation. Why I said that, well base on the following points.

Technology has improved tremendously. We have computers, PDAs, blackberry, MP3 Players, Handphones, LCD TVs and many more. And they have become an essential part of our life, both personal and working. Then if you realise, these appliances actually, emits radiations. These radiations are damaging to our health. There are many articles that said, all these INDIVIDUAL appliance emit little radiation that do not harm our body, but ask yourself, "How many of these appliance do you own?" I shan't mentioned further.

The food we eat is another point I want to stress. I am sure you would realise that the food we are eating are giving us less and less nutrients because the soil they are grown in are not full of nutrients like last time, the way we cooked our food has also destroyed more nutrients than ever before.

Our lifestyle is next. Unhealthy food are found more easily then healthy food because of commercial reasons. Most of the people are leading sedentary lives, always in their seats and seldom exercise. But I must stress here is that althought u have supplementation, it does not totally remove the need for exercise to maintain good health.

Ok so u realise your health is in peril. But it does not mean u supplement everything. You have to supplement wisely. Like financial planning, supplementation also have to depend on one's circumstances to have the best effect. It depends on age, diet, sex and lifestyle.

For me, thank goodness I have some biology knowledge, did some reading when I was doing network marketing and having a very knowledgeable friend in this area. I am able to maximise my dollars while maintaining good health. Well, I guess I list what are the things you need to supplement wisely. You need knowledge. You are the most appropriate person to know what you need to supplement.

Maybe share my case with you people. I came from a family that has heart challenges history.
So I have to watch my cholestrol level even though I have not problem at the moment, so I need Omega-3 for this area. When I was doing my readings on health, I realise that our liver and colon does not get rid of waste easily, liver being our most important gland in our body and colon being the place where you absorb your nutrients INTO the body. It is best to maintain it in tip top condition, so I also supplement in these area. I do a lot of thinking because of the nature of my work and business, so I need gingko to boost my brain power. I am exposed to the computer and other radiation appliances so often, so I take in antioxidants to reduce the damage as much as possible, especially to my eyes. I am still young so I took small amt of calcium to maintain my bone health, so that I can climb ALL the mountains in China. :)

Really, give a thought to this, supplement wisely and effectively. Maintain good health and you can have more time to realise your dream or spend with your loved ones.

Cheers!

Scarcest Resource in the world

So what is the scarcest resource in your world? Note, the key word here is 'your'. Money? Well not really, there are some people who have a lot of it, definitely not the scarcest resource in your world. Well very simple, it is the 'T' and 'H', Time and Health. Here is the reason why.

Let's talk abt Time first. No matter how rich or poor, handsome or ugly, smart or stupid, minister or beggar, you only have 24 hrs per day! There is NO WAY you can increase it in quantity except for one way and it depends on the other scarcest resource. Time once it is gone, it never comes back. No amount of money can buy back anytime, for example no amount of money can help you buy the second at 24 June 2006, 13:45:35. Nope, absolutely no way. Once it is gone, you cannot get it back, not at all. That second is loss forever.

So still have a lot of seconds u can lose? Well, let's do some calculation. Supposedly you lose 1 second per day. So a total of 365 seconds is loss per year. Assuming you live till the age of 65, and you start to realise the value of time at the age of 8 years old so altogether 57 years. How many seconds we have lost in our life? (57 X 365) and that would be 20,805 seconds, equivalent to 5 hrs loss in your lifetime. Would you not want to spend more time with your family? That 5 hrs is very precious especially when you can spend it with your love ones. So really treasure your time, use it wisely. I told many of my friends, why some people are able to realise their dreams but others do not, one of the main reason is definitely time management. People who realise their dreams definitely have discovered the value of treasuring and managing their time well.

The next scarcest resource is health. One fact need to be mentioned here. Health can buy time. Poor health will result in loss of time, good health means you can work better and efficiently, having a longer life which translates to more time in your life.

See the importance of health? Many people have the wrong thinking that health can be abused and repaired later due to advanced medical technology. But how many times must you be reminded of the fact that once you are struck with major illnesses, there is no way you can live the same lifestyle as before. Think abt it. Cancer, stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, diabetes and many more. Once your health is loss, there is a very very very slim chance of getting it back. One must realise that our health needs maintenance, NOT repair. So start maintaining it now, supplement wisely, exercise regularly, hydrate appropriately, eat a balance diet and be punctual, get rid of the waste in your body thoroughly. Start NOW!

As I mentioned before, once you are hit with a health challenge, it does not affect you alone, it affects those people around you. I am sure you do not want to see your loved ones unhappy or be a burden to them. Don't wait. Start NOW!

How to start? Sure I am willing to share abt this. Start an exercise regime and eat a balanced diet. This should be easy to start with.

With these two resources being plentiful for you, we can start thinking abt how to realise our dreams! I hope this has brought a positive message to your life.

Cheers!

1--> 10 -->100-->1000

Ok first blog after my stumble, must get back to writing some good stuff and less complain about life. Haha! Remember, the world will still turn no matter what happens to you.

Anyway, was discussing this issue with a group of colleagues. I was reading an article where it says that for most people, they did not get their jobs from jobs website or cold calling. They get their jobs through....... not friends or relatives, but acquaintance, people whom they have not known deep enough or have not known for a long time. Funny right? Most biz opportunities, I guess are found that way as well. I think no use exploring why there is such a phenomenon. More importantly is, how do you exploit such a fact.

Now this does not mean that you go around and turn all your friends into acquaintances. That is short sighted. What you should do is make more friends! Don't understand? Very simple, see the title of this blog?

The more friends you make, the more acquaintances you are going to make, which means more avenues of opportunity for you. But hold on to this fact first. What do you need to know more acquaintances?

1) Credibility - You are what you said you are.
2) Integrity - Honest or not?
3) Friendly disposition - Who would want to hang out with a person who is always sad or angry?
4) People Skill - If you are not sensitive to other people feelings, always making people angry or sad, who wants to be with you?

I think lack of anyone of these, no one would want to be associated with you, much more introduce new friends to you. For those that are looking for opportunities, dare to step out and make more friends, don't worry if you offend someone. Be fast to apologise and mentioned that you did not do it on purpose.

Be a giver. As I mentioned in my blog, sow first, then you can reap. If you are waiting for people to give you, using a Singapore slang, WAIT LONG LONG! Unless maybe, you have some credibility. But such a relationship is only built on benefits, not relationship, it crumbles easily.

Use the numerical power of network to your advantage, build strong relationship, be a giver! No man is an island. Use the tools that we have now to build good networks.

Cheers!

The search continues

Today was judgement day and the verdict passed down is, I have to continue my search for that elusive piece of jigsaw puzzle.

Funny thing is that the episode seems to come and go so fast and I felt nothing at all. How come? Relief? Immune to such episode already? I can handle my mood so well, I change it to what I want? No idea at all. But whatever the case maybe. The search will continue.

Or maybe I am destined not to complete the jigsaw puzzle at all. Destiny!? Sigh! I never believe in such thing, I rather believe that I create my future with my own actions but sometime also still have to depend on the guy up there whether he wants you to succeed or not.

Seems like completing the puzzle is like looking for a job, you may want the dream job but the dream job may not want you. U may want to complete your jigsaw puzzle but the jigsaw puzzle piece u offer may not be what someone wants.

Anyway, the search continues. Cheers!

What happen to the standard answers??

Was talking to a fren abt moral education in Singapore. We all know that for all the qns asked during such lesson, there are always standards answers. For example, what you should do when you found money on the floor in a public place? Standard answer would be, to bring the money to a police officer. What should you do when you see an elderly standing on the bus while you are sitting down? Standard answer again would be to stand up and offer this seat to the elderly. Other problems also have standard answers. FOr instance, when you like somebody, the standard follow up action is to be brave and tell your feelings to that particular person, so that the whole issue would not drag on and on.

So the problem here is how come nobody or should i say only a few people would follow the standard answers. I think several factors come into play before someone actually decides whether to follow the standard ans or do what they what they 'feel' is more appropriate. Factors like emotions, experience, knowledge and information are critical. These factors will come into the decision of what actions to take. For instance, a young person should give up his seats for the elderly in a crowded bus. But what if I said that the young person was doing volunteer work or charity work for the last 24 hrs non-stop? Now who needs the seats more?

Another problem here is that moral education tend to trivialise the issue. Which could lead to the problem of dis-illusion of our young kids. Kids would start asking their parents like "How come this uncle nv give up seat to the grandma on the bus?" How would the parents answer the qn? Well I would not have any idea at all.

Some food for thoughts? Cheers!

A Great Song, Superb Lyrics and nice Rythm

Not Much Interesting thoughts for the last two weeks, just want to introduce a song to readers.

Enjoy!! Cheers!
