Hidden Talents
Anyway, I went to a short photo taking trip on the week long break that I took. I have uploaded it to this website www.lifestylewiki.com The photos are at Thian Hock Keng, Kuan Im Temple and Lee Kong Chian Reference Library Have a look and feel free to give me your comments. Anyway, some of my friends are commenting that the pics I took are nice, the angles and colors. Well, what can I say, I have many talents that I myself need time to discover. Haha! I like photography. especially structure that has a certain special geometric meaning in them. I also like taking pics in many different angles, to a point I almost fell off once trying to get a good angle. :P Yes, a skill and talent maybe that I wish I can develop later on when I have more time.
Oh, and most of the food articles written in www.lifestylewiki.com, was done by me. Quite scary, I did not realise I have a flair for writing about food until that time, but of course I am still far away from a professional food critic, but hei I am a foodie as well. And definitely like to share any nice food with people. Maybe, nxt time I am free again, I will be able to become a free lance food critic, then I can have free and nice food to taste. :)
If you notice here, actually I strongly believe that each individual has more than one thing they have talent and good at. Just that because of the world we live in, time become such a scarce commodity, we are not able to discover our other hidden talents. Another thing to note is the platform to discover as well. If it were not for the chance to write in the website, I might not have discover the 'talent' of writing food articles and also phototaking. I wonder what other hidden talents do I have that I did not discover? Comedian? Actor? Road Sweeper? Opps, how did that get in? Haha!
The point here is that I think, when we are young, we really should try to find platforms for us to discover as many of our hidden talents as possible. The key sentence is "Never give up trying." Once the platform is available, jump onto it and try! If not, as we grow older, we are so caught up with the only one talent that we developed, we might not be able to 'groom' our talents which could be critical for our survival then. Well things are unpredictable, doing this would provide more choices later on, if a decision is needed to be made later. So go out and try to discover more hidden talents. "Never give up trying."
Cheers!
